Discover Our Journey: Committed to Compassionate Care and Exceptional Living at Lighthouse Personal Care Homes

Elevating Compassionate Care:

Your Home Away from Home

Our Dalton personal care homes offers seniors what big-box facilities can never provide—a home to live in with an extraordinary level of care and attention. Big-box facilities will never provide the feel of a real home like we can. It’s like the difference between living in a hotel and living in a home. We provide excellent meals and a variety of snacks, frequent cleaning, and an encouraging environment for our residents, all for an outstanding value. Many larger facilities charge much more for far less personal attention and service. And we don’t add on additional fees or raise lease rates once a resident is comfortably living with us.

The compassionate and caring staff at Lighthouse Personal Care Homes provides personal loving attention, and is very proactive in engaging our residents. We offer 24-hour care at our personal care homes in Dalton, plus the lowest resident care ratio in the industry of 6-to-1. In almost every case, the big-box competition has a much higher care ratio, and the smaller local providers often provide a lower level of quality or are not professionally managed, leaving residents in need of attention. Additionally, we are humbled to be a Second Wind Dreams member, a non-profit organization whose mission is to change the perception of aging through dream fulfillment and life-enhancing activities.

Our professionally trained senior caregivers in Dalton are available 24-hours a day. In addition, our personal care homes provide a facility manager and licensed administrator. We believe in continuous training and properly rewarding our staff. We also incorporate Positive Approach to Care techniques in our care homes. LaRay Ramey

Executive Director

With a lifelong passion for elder care deeply ingrained from cherished experiences with my grandmother, I have dedicated over 30 years to serving the elderly community. My professional journey has been rich and fulfilling, spanning from the development of elderly programs for the State of Georgia to my tenure as Program Director at the Alzheimer’s Association, where I crafted programs and educated families. This path has not only been a labor of love, but an opportunity to meet a multitude of individuals who have significantly enriched my life.

Among my personal milestones, I am a proud parent to two remarkable adult children. My daughter Courtney contributes to the vibrant Downtown Chattanooga community, while my son Logan excels as a junior at Kennesaw State University. They are my proudest achievements, closely followed by the impactful work I have spearheaded for individuals living with dementia. I am incredibly grateful for the life I have led and am committed to continually paying it forward through my service.
